This policy explains what information SalarySum (salarysum.com, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit the site, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information you type into calculators
Our calculators run in your web browser. The pay amounts, hours and other numbers you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to our server or stored by us.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web host records standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and are kept only as long as our host retains them.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them for site functions, such as remembering your cookie choices, and for advertising as described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators still work without them.

We use Google AdSense to show ads, which keeps the site free.

We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other visitor analytics tool. If we add one in the future, we will update this policy before it is turned on.
Contact form and email
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and do not sell it or add it to a mailing list.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (our web host and Google AdSense) so they can provide their services, or when required by law.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws, or the EEA and UK, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the use of your information for targeted advertising. Most of the information described here is held by Google; you can manage it through the links above. For anything we hold, such as emails you’ve sent us, contact us at the address below.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Our pages link to other sites, such as government sources. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
